When we speak of reuse it is often in relation to an object that becomes another object. Curating “Back for More” revealed a much richer definition. Reuse is a response to an environment, a way of continuing a conversation, and of a rewriting narrative of an object or idea. Reclaiming something is an act of reclaiming identity, history, self. The many iterations in “Back for More, Stories of Reuse” speak to the power of these artists as storytellers, inventors and interpreters of the world around us.
