CALL FOR ART AND CRAFTS
BIG Show of small Work!

The BIG Show of small Works is taking over our annual holiday sale! Based on data collected over the 5 years of running the holiday show we’ve made a few changes to help increase sales.

  1. Emphasis on craft and small work that is easy to gift — sometimes buying artwork for others is hard!

  2. October- November show. — Art Attack attendance for Side Rail in December is usually low. There is so much going on that day including Equinox Holiday Party.

  3. Lowering our hanging fee to be more accessible for low priced items.

  4. Separate cards/ prints section.

The Details:

  • Artwork Under 8” on all sides

  • All artforms and mediums welcomed with a special emphasis on craft and works that make good gifts.

  • Free to submit! If accepted you will be asked to pay a one time flat $20 non-refundable hanging fee. We also kindly ask for a 10% self reported donation for any sales over $50.

  • This helps the collective keep the cost of participation low for so many makers.

  • Artist to submit up to 4 works.

    • 2-3 works guaranteed to be installed

    • 1-2 works as backstock for when art sells/installed if space provides

    • Artists will have the option to restock artwork if all 4 pieces sell.

  • Artists may also submit an additional 4 pieces in a cards/print category — size restrictions must still be followed. Prints/Cards must have some sort of protective sleeve. No additional cost.

  • Artwork must be dropped off - no shipping

  • Visitors who purchase your work will pay you directly via your given Venmo/PayPal and can take the artwork home the same day.

Please note that The Collective appreciates the effort and commitment of ALL artists. As such, we welcome the participation by artists of a range of skill levels and experience regardless of gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity to our growing arts community.

A note on artwork pick up:

We understand that the holidays are crazy for us and for you! However all artwork must be picked up by the first of the new year. Any works not picked up by then will be considered abandoned and will become the property of the Gallery.

— Thank you for understanding!
