The event will be hosted at Side Rail Collective (in Georgetown) every 2nd Thursday of the month!

This Month:

FEATURED ARTIST + ART ACTIVITY

Join us for Open Arts night in January where we will feature teaching artist

Anne Livingston and musician Lauren Fernandez. Lauren will deliver the soundtrack for the first portion of the evening, followed by open mic for all interested parties to share their music, spoken word or other creations.

Suggested donation of $10-20 payable at the event.

Deepen your relationship and confidence with color in a gentle way! Using specific and fun tools to tune in to preferences and memories, we will paint beautiful watercolor postcards of personal significance. You’ll leave with cards that might serve as keepsakes, inner reminders, or notes for loved ones. The process will hopefully also yield personal insights and connections with others. No painting experience needed!

Anne Livingston (@annelivingstonart) is a Seattle painter and author of Slow Color Project: Using Color to Find Meaning, Focus and Joy. She loves the transformative effects of intentionally focusing on color in artmaking and daily life. She has decades of teaching and community-building experience. She lives and works in Ballard.

Lauren Fernandez (@laurenwithaguitar) is a Filipino-American alternative

singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with ethereal

chord progressions. With a passion for fostering community through the

arts, Lauren uses her songs to explore themes of human connection, home,

and the search for belonging.
